More Photos

Ok, here are some more photos. The last one is the lastest, the 1098s, we have have 16 bikes in the past three years, often brand new, we like to see the create opened, and know the bikes history, ZERO! Still have plenty more photos to post up... Enjoy...

Summers Coming and New Bikes in the Garage

Well thought it was long overdue for me to update my blog. No Comments yet! Whats with that! Never to mind, Im happy in my own little motorcycling world.
Well sadly the MV has departed to another life. Mr Amazing set off to work one morning, and 50mtrs down the road high sided on black ice and she was too expensive for the insurance guys to fix. It really wasnt that bad, but MV parts are very expensive. Fortunately we already had another beast in the garage in the form of a black 1098s Ducati. Had to be black, cause they all have to be black, but also because there are no other black s' in the country.
So, time to post more pictures I guess. In the meantime, really looking forward to the summer months ahead, and I have a month off work at Christmas, guess what I'll be doing.....

Girls Day Out

Well another lady biker in these parts has organised a girls biking day out this Sunday. Its approaching winter here, we have daylight savings time which is about to end this weekend, and we have recently discovered a whole crew of lady bikers in the region. So we have decided it would be a great idea to get together and ride.
I know heads will turn at each stop as we take our helmets off to reveal chicks on these awesome scooters. Not that any of us are seeking lookers/attention, but gotta admit it is kinda a buzz to be part of something a little unique.
Will post photos next week of our day out. Oh, and we are allowing the boys to catch up at the end of the ride for the buzz home.

MV Agusta Brutale R

Well my partner is working out of town at present, which is 400kms north of here. So he is using my ZX14 for the weekly commute (I want to put 100,000kms on this bike having bought it out of the box brand new, he says he's helping!). So, Im stuck at home and a girlfriend wants to go riding with me to our local Sunday haunt. So, out comes the Brutale (see photo).
I have to say an upright naked bike is not really my thing, I love my big beast, but this bike is fantastic to ride. It's behaviour in the corners is outstanding, and has definitely improved my riding a great deal. My partner wanted to get off the road and take it to the track (less expensive!) hence the naked. So the photo below is him at the track, and he's having a lot of fun

My Motorcycling Adventures

Well Ive never done a blog before, so here goes. A good old kiwigirl from Godzone (New Zealand), motorcycling is the greatest pastime I can think of, for me and mine anyway. I was off bikes for a long time, but rediscovered them three years ago. What a wild and fantastic journey its been ever since. New back, new man (back then in both cases, still have the man, he's a keeper), and back onto motorbikes.
I started off with the Ducati 900ss, moved onto the TL1000s, then the SV1000s, then the Aprilia RSVR1000 Factory, now I pootle around on my beloved ZX14. Im new to blogging, so hopefully I will managed to post up some pictures. Ive done about 65,000kms in the past three years, and Im finding its taken that long to become truly anything close to competent, with my riding. Still a nana with chicken strips, but I always arrive to the next destination with a huge grin on my face. My partner has been through a few bikes in the past three years too, and currently rides a MV Agusta Brutale R, which I also spend a bit of time on (took it for a blast this afternoon). Different again being a upright naked, but wow in the corners. Mind you, the 14 isnt any slug either.
